Making Connections

During this unprecedented time, all of us here at Kaechele are doing our best to stay in touch with our students. In addition to the Zoom meetings, Flipgrids, emails, and updates that can be found on teacher blogs, below you can find some connections to use at home. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding while we await further instruction from the county as to what may come next. Mrs. Patterson will continue to update everyone the best she can with the weekly Coyote Courier. Hang in there everyone and stay well!

Spreading Kindness

We are so proud of our open-hearted and generous students! 1810 books were collected during the month of February. These will be donated to another HCPS elementary school for students to take home books for summer reading. It is a blessing to be able to spread the love of reading and offer the gift of some many literary adventures to others. On Friday, March 13th, Mr. Buffkin and Mrs. Patterson will share a special school wide read aloud and the entire school will celebrate our success with a Book Character Dress Up day. Way to go Coyotes!

Student Led Conferences

Our first annual Student Led Conference night on Feb 13th was a great success.  All coyotes were so proud to share their learning with their families. Please give us information on how to make future events like this more relevant, authentic and important for our students’ academic growth.  Thank you for answering the following questions on this survey. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvsocmaQzzJmkoduarKpY8GESWRJ_scgH5bHKwdWd2JNKBxQ/viewform

We are a Common Sense School!

WAY TO GO, KES Community! Common Sense, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology, has recognized our school as a Common Sense School. Kaechele Elementary has demonstrated its commitment to taking a whole-community approach to preparing its students to think critically and use technology responsibly to learn, create, and participate, while limiting the perils that exist in the online realm, such as plagiarism, loss of privacy, and cyberbullying. The recognition acknowledges our schools commitment creating a culture of digital citizenship.
