Ms. Jennifer Rhoden, our principal, is thrilled to become a part of the Kaechele Elementary community this year! Originally from Florida, her family relocated to Richmond just before her freshman year of high school. Therefore, she is a graduate of Henrico’s Godwin High School. She then went to Lee University in Tennessee to study before returning home to get married and finish her degree in Education as well as her Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jennifer taught 3rd grade for 8 years in Henrico County before taking a position in Richmond Public Schools as a Title I Math teacher. She then moved into a Reading First Literacy Coach position in the city of Richmond before returning to her roots in Henrico County in 2011 for a Title I Reading position at Laburnum Elementary. In 2014, Jennifer graduated from the Educational Leadership and Policies studies program at the University of Richmond. As a result, she served as the Resource teacher at Laburnum Elementary and most recently as the Associate Principal at Maude Trevvett Elementary School. Jennifer has been married to her husband, a Freeman High School graduate, for 26 years. They have 2 children (a freshman at George Mason University and a high school junior). Jennifer loves spending time with her family as well as playing games, reading, watching movies, going to the beach, eating out (especially Mexican food), and being with friends.
